Achieved results

In case of sows that were fed with the use of mixtures featuring stillage, in comparison with the control group, where solely the more expensive post-extraction soy cake was used as a source of protein, the newborn piglets were equally numerous, while the weight of the individual piglets, both on the first day of their lives, as well as on 28th day, did not differ across the groups.

Body mass of the sows during lactation shows that they are in good condition, and that they are being fed properly throughout the period of interest.

Losses of piglets were caused by the fact that they were crushed by the sow. The events did not occur due to the reasons connected with nutrition.

* Feeding sows were fed with mixtures with the same composition as in case of the sows that had many piglets. Quantity of the feed has been tailored to the needs of the animals feeding the piglets.
